iPhone 17 Pro may keep the traditional camera layout and get a new aluminium bumper
According to new rumours, the iPhone 17 Pro will not receive a horizontal camera setup, as previously reported.
Here's What We Know
An "Instant Digital" insider on his Weibo page said that although the back of the iPhone 17 Pro will change, the arrangement of the three cameras will remain triangular, and not in the form of a horizontal strip, as other informants have claimed.
This refutes recent reports from Chinese suppliers who reported an elongated oval camera shape.
The triangular arrangement of cameras on the iPhone 11 Pro was an important step for Apple, as it allowed for the placement of a third camera - Ultra Wide. This innovation became the aesthetic standard for subsequent models, including the iPhone 16.
The iPhone 17 Pro is likely to get a new aluminium camera bumper instead of the traditional 3D glass, and the bottom part will remain with glass to support wireless charging.
Note that this is not official data but insider speculation about the next models. Official information from Apple is likely to become known after the presentation of the new iPhone 17 line in September 2025.
