Two Honda 0 Series prototypes for CES 2025 hint at production models coming in 2026
Honda has announced the unveiling of two "impressive new prototypes" of electric vehicles at the upcoming CES 2025. These prototypes represent the next models in Honda's 0 Series lineup, which will hit the global market in 2026.
Here's What We Know
The image from Honda's press release shows two models. On the left is a relatively small car with a low silhouette, reminiscent of last year's Saloon EV Concept. The car retains its characteristic design features: 'voluminous' LED lights at the rear, an illuminated brand name and a slim brake light integrated into the diffuser. This time, the model is labelled as a "prototype" rather than a "concept", hinting at its nearer readiness for series production.

On the right is a prototype with the proportions of a large SUV. It looks like a potential competitor to the Hyundai Ioniq 9 or the Kia EV9. The car has a box-shaped body, a long wheelbase and a near-vertical rear window with a horseshoe-shaped light line framing it. In contrast, the car on the left has two horizontal lights at the base of the rear bumper.

In addition to prototypes of new models, Honda will unveil at CES 2025 its own operating system for future electric vehicles, new automated driving technologies and a system-on-chip (SoC) for these systems. In addition, the Japanese automaker will reveal an energy service that will be available with future Honda 0 Series models.
Honda's press conference at CES will take place on Tuesday, 7 January 2025.
