Samsung and SEGA launch Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus series of memory cards
Samsung has unveiled a new series of microSD cards called Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus, created in collaboration with SEGA.

These cards are available in four capacities: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. Each card is adorned with an image of one of the characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise: Knuckles (128GB), Tales (256GB), Sonic (512GB) and Shadow (1TB). The cards feature high sequential read and write speeds of up to 180MB/s and 130MB/s respectively, making them ideal for use in game consoles and other devices.
They are also highly durable and waterproof, withstanding up to 72 hours in salt water at depths of up to 1 metre. The cards are resistant to high temperatures, magnetic fields and X-rays, and can withstand drops of more than 5 metres. Sales will begin in January 2025 on Samsung's website and at select retailers. Early buyers will be able to get a 30 per cent discount when they register on Samsung's website.
