Intel Core Ultra 200S processors show 'significant' performance improvements after improved optimisation
Intel Core Ultra 200S processors have received significant performance improvements thanks to recent optimisations. During a media briefing, Intel China presented test results showing the improvements after the updates.
Here's What We Know
The main issues affecting performance were related to the Performance and Power Management (PPM) configuration as well as the Application Processor Optimiser (APO). After applying the updates, the Core Ultra 9 285K processors showed a 12.3% improvement in Geekbench single-core tests, while multi-core tests remained unchanged.
In the Cinebench R23 tests, single-core performance improved by 5%, but multi-core performance was also unchanged. Games such as Cyberpunk 2077 saw an 18% increase in average FPS after the updates. Additionally, an issue with Easy Anti-Cheat affecting the launch of games on Core Ultra 200S processors has been fixed.
Intel has also improved the one-click overclocking mechanism and added support for faster memory types, which was previously an issue for users. These updates have significantly improved the performance of the Core Ultra 200S processors, making them more competitive in the market.
