Early December saw the release of adventure action game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle from MachineGames studio - the author of modern Wolfenstein parts. The game received high marks from critics and excellent reviews from gamers, but due to the fact that from the first day it is available in Game Pass, it is not distinguished by high sales.

However, this fact does not seem to prevent further co-operation between Bethesda Softworks and Lucasfilm.

Here's What We Know

Authoritative insider Daniel Richtman, who specialises in the film industry but occasionally shares gaming news, revealed that "It looks like we'll have more Indy games". Obviously, Richtman is not referring to games by independent developers, but specifically projects based on the Indiana Jones franchise.

Richtman's words were creatively confirmed by another well-known insider and Windows Central editor Jez Corden - he left a "It's true" gif below his post.

Previously, Lucasfilm Games representatives have not ruled out the possibility, but there have been no concrete statements.

Neither Daniel Richtman nor Jez Corden have mentioned who will be in charge of future games, but given that Swedish developers MachineGames did a great job with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it seems logical that they would be tasked with the continuation of the series.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is available on PC, Xbox Series and Game Pass, and will be released on PlayStation 5 in the spring.
