Apple may release iPad 11 with iPadOS 18.3 next spring
According to unofficial information, Apple plans to release a new iPad 11th generation in the spring of 2025, which will be preinstalled with an updated version of the iPadOS 18.3 operating system.
Here's What We Know
Earlier, a well-known insider Mark Gurman said that the new devices might go on sale in March.
There have been rumours that the new iPad will be released simultaneously with the iPhone SE 4 and the updated iPad Air, which should also be available in the spring of 2025. It is predicted that iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 will be introduced in late January or early February, which will allow Apple to ensure that the new operating system is available on devices by early spring.
Information about new features is currently limited, but the source denies rumours that the budget iPad may receive Apple's 5G modem, which is planned for the new iPhone SE and iPhone 17 Air models in 2025. This chip will provide download speeds of up to 4 Gbps, but will not support the fastest mmWave 5G standard.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also noted that the new iPad is likely to receive an updated A-series chip and probably at least 8GB of RAM. The new Magic Keyboard accessory is expected to be developed for budget iPads and iPad Air by mid-2025.
Although Apple has already released the first beta versions of iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, no specific innovations have been announced yet. However, we can expect the new updates to include improvements to Siri and new Apple Intelligence features.
