The huge winter sale on Steam has significantly changed the list of the most sought-after items on the digital shop and allowed some iconic games to return to the chart.

Here's What We Know

The leader in terms of revenue among paid games remains isometric action-RPG Path of Exile 2, which will become free-to-play upon release from Early Access. The game amazes with a huge amount of content, complex mechanics and colossal freedom in character development.

The second place is traditionally occupied by the Steam Deck handheld console, and the third place is occupied by the popular co-operative shooter Helldivers 2.

Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy returned to the chart thanks to heavy discounts.

The full list of the ten most profitable Steam items from 17 to 24 December looks like this:

  1. Path of Exile 2
  2. Steam Deck
  3. Helldivers 2
  4. Elden Ring
  5. Baldur's Gate 3
  6. Cyberpunk 2077
  7. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
  8. EA SPORTS FC 25
  9. Hogwarts Legacy
  10. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2(careful, the game is of Russian origin).

The most profitable conventionally free-to-play games of the week were Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and Marvel Rivals.
