Samsung Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy F16 5G: Leaked renders and specifications of new smartphones

The new Samsung Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy F16 5G smartphones have appeared in numerous online listings, including on the Wi-Fi Alliance, BIS and Geekbench platforms.

Here's What We Know

The latest leaked renders of both devices provide a detailed look at their design and specifications.

Galaxy M16 5G

According to renders published by Android Headlines, the Galaxy M16 5G will feature an elongated camera module on the back with three vertically arranged sensors and an external LED flash. The body will have sharp, flat edges, with the power button, volume controls and fingerprint sensor on the right side and a SIM card slot on the left. The front panel will feature an Infinity-U notch for the front camera.

According to Geekbench, the Galaxy M16 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, Mali-G57 MC2 graphics chip and an 8GB RAM variant. The smartphone will support Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-frequency bands, Wi-Fi Direct and WPA2/WPA3 security. It will run on Android 14.

Galaxy F16 5G

Renderings of the Galaxy F16 5G published by Smartprix (now removed) show a similar design to the M16 5G, with a metal camera module containing three sensors in a vertical arrangement.

The smartphone will be available in several colour variants, including monochrome and gradient shades.

Expected features of the F16 5G include a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300+ chipset, have a 5000mAh battery and support 25W fast charging.

Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy F16 5G via Flipkart and the Galaxy M16 5G via Amazon in India. The official release of both devices is expected in the coming weeks.
