Redmi K80 Ultra may debut with Dimensity 9400 chipset
According to unofficial information, Xiaomi is planning to expand the K80 series with a new smartphone - Redmi K80 Ultra, which will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset.
Here's What We Know
This processor was introduced in October 2024, and in November, the first phones based on it were announced, including the Vivo X200 series and Oppo Find X8.
According to a source at Digital Chat Station, Redmi K80 Ultra will receive an improved version of the chipset - Dimensity 9400+. This chipset is expected to have improved performance compared to the original version. This makes it a serious competitor for the flagship models of other brands.
Apart from Redmi, several major companies are working on smartphones that will also use this chipset. Among them are iQOO, OnePlus, Realme, and Honor. In particular, Honor is preparing a model based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while other brands such as iQOO, OnePlus, and Realme will release flagships based on the Dimensity 9400+.
iQOO is preparing to announce the Neo 10S Pro model, while OnePlus is likely to introduce a new Ace 5 series smartphone that will be equipped with this chip. The actual technical specifications of the new devices have not yet been disclosed, but we can expect a high level of performance and new features that will allow them to compete with the Redmi K80 Ultra. These smartphones are expected to compete for leadership in the flagship market next year.
This is only preliminary data, so the exact information about these devices will appear only in the future when the brands officially announce their new products.
