The Android Switch tool, developed by Google, allows you to easily transfer contacts, calls, messages, alarms, calendar events, photos, videos, app data, and other data from iOS to Android, making it easy to move from iPhone to Android smartphones.

Here's What We Know

However, some data still cannot be transferred with this tool, including burst photos.

Previously, burst photos taken on iPhone could not be transferred to Android via Android Switch because the tool did not support this format. However, the situation has changed.

Paul Dunlop, product manager of Android Onboarding and Android Settings at Google, said that Android Switch now supports transferring burst photos from iOS to Android. In his post on Threads, he said: "With the new update, you'll be able to keep your entire burst photo set when transferring over cable or Wi-Fi, allowing you to choose the best shot even after you switch from iOS to Pixel.

Apparently, Google has updated the Android Switch app for Android and iOS to allow for burst photo transfer.

According to Paul, this feature is already available for updated Pixel devices during the initial setup and through the Android Switch app. We hope that Google will soon add support for other Android smartphones.

In addition, burst photos are now saved in Google Photos as a group, making them easier to view. This update makes the transition from iPhone to Android much more convenient for users.
