Metaphor: ReFantazio was "One of the best games of the year" - critics rave about JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio. The authors of Persona have outdone themselves! and a major novelty for fans of the JRPG genre. The developers from Studio Zero released an excellent game, which received the highest ratings and won prestigious awards.

Of course, many gamers would like to see its sequel and Metaphor: ReFantazio game director Katsura Hashino commented on this possibility.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Weekly Famitsu, Katsura Hashino revealed that he and his team would like to release a sequel to Metaphor: ReFantazio in the future. According to him, Studio Zero intended this game to be something new and far from the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series, and the feedback from the public has eloquently confirmed that they were able to create a quality game worthy of a sequel.

However, a sequel is not currently in development, and the producer is seriously considering creating a new game in the setting of the Sengoku era (Sengoku), which lasted in Japan from the mid-15th to the end of the 16th century. Katsura Hashino believes that this historical period would be a great backdrop for a new JRPG and would put the characters in interesting situations.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series and PC.
