The gamer community continues to discuss the unannounced Xbox Developer Direct show, which is expected to take place in January 2025.

While Microsoft hasn't officially confirmed it yet, but that doesn't stop insiders from sharing information and their expectations for the show.

Here's What We Know

In one of the discussion threads in X of the anticipated Xbox Developer Direct shows, respected insider and Windows Central editor JezCorden left a comment. He expects to see the announcement of an updated version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion role-playing game, but unlike fellow insiders extas1s and NateTheDrake, who predict a full remake of the game by all modern standards, Corden only mentions a remaster.

It's worth noting that Oblivion has become severely technically outdated over the years and a remaster is unlikely to "save" the game. On the other hand, releasing a remake of The Elder Scrolls 4 would have been an incredibly difficult task and it's not certain that this venture would have been a success. What decision Bethesda made, we'll probably find out very soon.
