According to the latest leaks, Samsung is planning to release the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with an Exynos 2500 chip, which will be the first time Exynos is used in the company's foldable devices.

Here's What We Know

Since the launch of the original Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung has exclusively used Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in its foldable smartphones. However, the company may change that tradition next year by equipping the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with a new Exynos 2500 chip. This, according to the publication TheElec, was reported by "a high-ranking Samsung Electronics official".

The development of this chip was officially confirmed by Samsung a few months ago and the Exynos 2500 was expected to be used in the Galaxy S25 series. However, due to production capacity issues, the company was reportedly unable to prepare enough finished chips in time for the release of the S25 series. Now, it looks like the Exynos 2500 will be used in the upcoming Flip 7 foldable model. However, this information has not been officially confirmed and it might change by the actual release of the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be released in mid-2025 and Samsung is reportedly planning to produce around 3 million units of the device.
