Persona 6 or something completely new? - Atlus employees hint at the imminent announcement of a certain project
Rumours that Japanese publisher Atlus is preparing to announce a new Persona game have been going around for a long time. Officially the company does not comment on this information, but its employees seem to be eager to present the game.
Here's What We Know
Portal 4Gamer published an annual selection of comments from Japanese developers about the prospects for the coming year. Representatives of different companies voiced a lot of interesting plans, but we will focus our attention on Atlus employees.
Some of their statements indirectly confirm that the announcement of the expected JRPG Persona 6 will take place in 2025.
Shinjiro Takada (Devil Survivor, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Shin Megami Tensei V and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance):
There's a game we want to announce as soon as possible.
Atsushi Nomura (Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Tactica):
We'll be able to tell you more about the future at a more appropriate time, but please stay tuned as our staff is working daily to make it happen.
Naoya Maeda (Persona 5, Persona Q, Persona 5 Tactica):
Unfortunately, I can't give you more details about the game I'm currently working on, but I'm sure it will give you an exciting new experience.
Kazuhisa Wada (Persona 4 Arena, Persona Dancing, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5: The Phantom X):
2025 is the year when we will carefully steer the course of several large-scale projects to keep them on track and stay on track so they don't lose direction. It is also a time when we are laying the groundwork for a number of projects, so we will proceed with caution, and I look forward to sharing them with everyone. The collective weight of these projects is huge, so the cost of fixing any bugs will be significant.
Of course, Atlus may unveil some other game, and perhaps even a few new products, but it's highly likely that the announcement the developers are talking so excitedly about is Persona 6. However, as always, we urge not to jump to conclusions and wait for official information.
