Improved security and performance: Vivo X200 Pro gets December 2024 update
Vivo has released the first system update for the X200 Pro smartphone following its global launch. The update focuses on improving the security and performance of the device, which will provide users with an even smoother experience.
Here's What We Know
The update has the firmware version "PD2405F_EX_A_15.0.9.23.W30" and takes up 485 MB. It includes the December 2024 security patch from Google, which fixes known vulnerabilities. This helps the smartphone meet the latest security standards.
Other improvements include better compatibility with some car systems, reduced standby power consumption to extend battery life, and updates to the Albums app to improve data security.
The update is powered by Funtouch OS 15, which improves performance and allows for better system customisation. Application startup times are faster and multitasking is more efficient thanks to Memory Enhancement technology, which optimises memory usage in the background. In addition, animations and transitions have become more user-friendly.
Funtouch OS 15 also offers many customisation options, including themes, new icons and wallpapers. For gamers, Ultra Game Mode is available, which improves performance and allows you to quickly open important applications without leaving the game. Tools such as Link to Windows improve the integration of the phone with the PC, making it easier to share files.
Vivo recommends that users back up their data before updating. The phone may temporarily heat up during the update process, but this is normal and will return to normal once the update is complete. Once the update is complete, the installation package will be automatically uninstalled to free up memory space.
