Jason Schreier has named his own top ten games of 2024 - including indie hits Balatro and Animal Well
Every year, respected gaming journalist Jason Schreier compiles his own list of the best new games.
2024 was no exception and Bloomberg published Schreier's view on the most worthy games.
Here's What We Know
Jason Schreier reminded that 2024 was a difficult year for the gaming industry. Most companies were forced to lay off employees and many closed down, several games were released, the main ones being Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Concord, and Nintendo never unveiled its new console.
However, there have also been a lot of great new releases and surprisingly many of them are indie projects created by one or more developers.
Before moving on to the top ten games, Jason Schreier mentioned a few worthy titles. He recommends to pay attention to Tactical Breach Wizards, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, UFO 50 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Schreier's top ten list also includes indie games, including the acclaimed Balatro and Animal Well. But the journalist also mentioned a few projects that were almost absent in his colleagues' tops, such as the cute action-platformer Nine Sols and Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Gambit.
