Japanese tuning studio DAMD has made a 1990s Jeep-style car out of a Honda crossover vehicle
Damd Atelier has announced the public presentation of its newest project - Honda WR-V crossover with classic Jeep design of the end of the last century. The model will debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 and will likely go into production.
Here's What We Know
The Honda WR-V is one of the Japanese brand's most budget-friendly crossovers, mainly sold in emerging markets as well as in Japan. Produce the model in India, prices start at around $13,500.
When working on this project, Damd designers drew inspiration from the Jeep Cherokee XJ of the early 1990s. This manifested itself in the characteristic grille, rectangular headlights and even stickers reminiscent of wooden panels on American cars of that time. However, a complete transformation of the car means installing not only new headlights and "grill", but also original bumpers, wheels and interior upgrades.

Underneath all that cosplay, the WR-V hides a standard 121bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with a CVT transmission and front-wheel drive. More information, including the cost of the tuning kit, is expected at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 in early January.
