DJI introduces super-fast 1 kW car charger for power plants
DJI has unveiled a new car charger that uses excess energy from a car's alternator to charge its power stations and batteries.

The DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger can fully charge a 1024Wh battery in less than 80 minutes and also allows you to charge your car battery.
Earlier this year, DJI released its first power stations, the DJI Power 1000 and DJI Power 500, which competed with similar products from Bluetti and Ecoflow. Now, the company is introducing a car charger that harnesses the excess energy generated by a car's alternator.
With the DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger, owners will be able to charge the DJI Power 1000 power station with a 1024Wh battery after approximately 78 minutes of driving. The factory setting allows the device to charge at 500W, but to reach the maximum 1000W, users must purchase the DJI Power Dongle, which costs $25 but is free with the purchase of the charger.

The charger can also be configured to reverse charge a car battery to prevent it from draining. The DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger is compatible with 12V and 24V car systems, but the voltage at the charging terminals should not exceed 45V.
It's important to note that the device is not dust or waterproof, so it's recommended to install it in a safe place in the car.
The DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger is priced at $299 in the US, €269 in Europe, and £229 in the UK. The kit comes with a charger, 70A car charging cable, fuse box, 100A fuse, and mounting hardware.
