Xiaomi announces the launch of the Redmi 14C 5G budget smartphone in India on 6 January 2025
Xiaomi has announced the official launch date of its new budget smartphone Redmi 14C 5G for India.

The novelty will go on sale on 6 January 2025 and will also be available in other regions. The Redmi 14C 5G will be the successor to the popular Redmi 13C 5G, which debuted last year.
According to the company, the new smartphone will feature a large 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a significant upgrade from the 90Hz screen of its predecessor. The display will also have TUV Rheinland certification, which guarantees eye comfort during prolonged use. Xiaomi notes that this screen is one of the best in its price segment.
In terms of colours, the Redmi 14C 5G will be available in three variants: Starlight Blue, Stardust Purple and Stargaze Black. In addition, the smartphone will receive dual-SIM support with 5G, which was not available in the previous model.

Although details on other specifications have not yet been disclosed, the Redmi 14C 5G is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. The gadget may have a 50 MP main camera, 8 GB of RAM, and a 5160 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The price of the novelty has not yet been confirmed, but it is likely to be within the budget segment. Xiaomi intends to sell the smartphone immediately after the launch through its own Mi.com website, Flipkart platform and other authorised retailers.
Xiaomi has recently officially confirmed the launch date of its new mid-range smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 4, in China.
