LG has announced that it will showcase a pair of Signature Washer Dryers and a 29-inch Signature Washer Dryer at CES 2025 in January.
Here's What We Know
These devices promise to be smart laundry solutions with a variety of AI-powered features.
The company shared information about the AI features that it says will improve the capabilities of the appliances.
One of the main novelties will be LG Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD) 2.0, which provides "precise fabric care". However, the company has not yet disclosed more details about this technology.
All the new models are equipped with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, where users can select washing modes and configure other settings. The new products also use an inverter heat pump, which allows clothes to be dried at lower temperatures while preserving their structure.
LG has not yet confirmed whether these models support app control or voice commands. However, the company's press release states that a new ThinQ ON AI smart hub will be introduced, which allows remote control of various smart home devices. It is expected that these new washing appliances will be able to integrate with the ThinQ ON hub. Visitors will also be able to experience the LG ThinQ ON AI home hub in action.
All of these innovative solutions will be unveiled at CES 2025, which will take place from 7 January in Las Vegas. The current LG WM3555HVA (24-inch) model is priced at $1,199 on Amazon.
