LG has unveiled the new UltraGear OLED 45GX950A monitor, which will be the successor to the popular 45GS95QE model. The novelty was announced ahead of CES 2025 in Las Vegas, where the company promises to reveal more details.

Here's What We Know

The monitor has received significant improvements over its predecessor, including an updated 5K2K resolution (5120 x 2160 pixels), which provides a clear image in a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a response time of 0.03ms (GtG). This makes it ideal for gaming and video. Although the monitor's refresh rate has not yet been announced, it is expected to be on par with the high standards for gaming displays.

The monitor also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-SYNC technologies, which provides a smooth, tear-free picture. For connectivity, the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A has DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C ports, supporting Power Delivery of up to 90W.

In addition, the new product will have an improved second-generation Dual-Mode function, which allows you to adjust the image size and aspect ratio to suit individual user needs. The monitor is also equipped with a special Anti-Glare Low Reflection (AGLR) coating that significantly reduces glare and provides better visibility in bright environments.

The UltraGear OLED 45GX950A supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), making it compatible with modern gaming consoles and powerful PCs, providing high performance in all gaming situations. The model also features RGWB sub-pixel circuitry, which improves colour accuracy and allows for richer, more realistic hues.
