The successor to the popular Galaxy A55, the Samsung Galaxy A56, is likely to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2025. On the eve of the official announcement, a leak has appeared that reveals the possible characteristics and expected price of the smartphone.

Here's What We Know

According to a leak from the user @TheGalox on the social network X (formerly Twittter), Galaxy A56 will feature a Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and FHD+ resolution. Although the screen size is not yet specified, we can expect it to be similar to the 6.6-inch display of the Galaxy A55.

As for the camera, the Galaxy A56 may have a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, the camera will be 12 MP, instead of 32 MP on the A55.

An important update will be the Exynos 1580 processor, which was announced in October. This chip is based on a 4nm process and has ARMv9 cores, which will provide higher performance than the Exynos 1480 in the previous model. According to the leak, the smartphone will be available with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage.

The battery capacity will be 5000 mAh with 45W fast charging support, which is a significant upgrade from the A55, which had a charging speed of only 25W.

The Galaxy A56's exterior will also receive an upgrade, with a new camera module and improved build quality thanks to an aluminium frame and glass back. The expected price of the model is £439, which is equivalent to approximately $550.
