Xiaomi introduces new Brilliant Magenta colour for SU7 electric car in honour of the brand's 15th anniversary
Xiaomi has announced a new limited edition colour for its first electric car, the Xiaomi SU7. The new shade, Brilliant Magenta, is timed to celebrate the brand's 15th anniversary and will be the tenth colour option for this model.
Here's What We Know
When the SU7 debuted in 2023, the car was available in three colours: Aqua Blue, Verdant Green and Mineral Gray. In 2024, the range was expanded with six new shades, including Meteor Blue, Radiant Purple and Lava Orange. The new limited edition Brilliant Magenta colour will be available for ordering through the Xiaomi Auto app from 1 January, and in physical stores from February 2025.

In addition, Xiaomi has introduced a themed design for smartphones dedicated to the SU7. Users can download it for free through the Xiaomi theme store. The design includes custom wallpapers and icons inspired by the car's design.
The SU7 electric car has proven to be a successful project for Xiaomi. In 2024, the company planned to sell 100,000 units, but by mid-November, it surpassed this figure. By the end of the year, orders reached 130 thousand.
In addition, Xiaomi has announced its second electric vehicle model, an SUV called Xiaomi YU7, which is expected to launch in the summer of 2025.
In 2025, Xiaomi will launch the second phase of its car factory to further increase production and sales. The company also plans to launch a three-engine version of the sedan called SU7 Ultra and a new crossover called Xiaomi YU7
