Samsung is preparing to release the third beta update of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, which promises to significantly improve the speed of fingerprint unlocking.

Here's What We Know

Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra owners participating in the beta programme have already received two updates, and now a third is expected to be released in the first week of January 2025. One of the most notable improvements could be the faster unlocking of the smartphone via fingerprint sensor, which was demonstrated in a video by insider Ice Universe on his X page. In addition to this, he noted that the unlock sound has also been improved.

The unlock speed is probably improved due to a faster transition animation when unlocking the device. Also, the speed may only be improved in Always On Display mode, while in the normal locked state, the fingerprint sensor speed may remain the same. The release of the third beta of One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy S24 smartphones will answer these speculations.
