Garmin has recently released a new beta version of the software for its Fenix 6 and MARQ smartwatches.

Here's What We Know

Update number 27.74 is aimed at solving one problem - crashes that occurred during the download. Users can install the update without any difficulty, and it also includes any previous updates that may have been missed.

The new release fixes an issue that caused the watch to automatically turn off when downloading certain routes. In addition, 27.74 contains bug fixes from the previous version 27.73, which was released a few weeks ago. In particular, the problem with slow display of notifications and unnecessary notifications about altitude changes has been fixed. The issue with the interface on the MARQ Aviator model has also been resolved.

The update also includes a simple notification for the storm alert tool, but does not add any new features. It is worth noting that the Garmin Fenix 6 was introduced back in August 2019, and the company continues to provide support for even older models.

It's been about four years since we tested the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro in long-term use, and during this time, the watch has demonstrated impressive reliability and functionality, with the exception of one minor defect. Although there are no new features, the improved stability of the Fenix 6 and MARQ makes them more reliable for users.

Garmin also announced the release of a beta version of the 13.13 update for its Fenix 8 series smartwatches, including the Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Solar, Enduro 3, and Fenix E models.
