Samsung's Galaxy Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7 smartphones may not get significant changes
Samsung is expected to launch new foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in mid-2025. However, despite the successful launch of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, the new models reportedly may not get significant changes.
Here's What We Know
Major updates are only expected to come with the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8. In an interview with Chinese company Fastprint, the first supplier of High-Density Interconnect (HDI) technology for the Galaxy S25 series, it was stated that Samsung plans to sell only 6 million units of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. At the same time, the company expects to increase sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 to 7 million units. This could mean that Samsung is planning more changes specifically for the eighth-generation foldable models.
It is reported that Samsung plans to collectively sell around 230 million smartphones in 2025. In 2024, sales totalled 222 million units.
