Redmi Turbo 4 sold 220% better than its predecessor in the first day

Chinese smartphone maker Redmi unveiled its new Turbo 4 smartphone on 2 January, which went on sale immediately after launch and in the first day broke the sales record of the previous Turbo 3 model.

According to official data, the Turbo 4's first day sales were double that of the previous generation, increasing by 220%. The main feature of the Redmi Turbo 4 is its performance. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, which offers high speed performance thanks to its large-core architecture.

Dimensity 8400-Ultra includes one large Cortex-A725 core clocked at 3.25 GHz, three large Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 3.0 GHz and four large A725 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz. The Mali-G720 MC7 GPU delivers a 24 per cent increase in peak performance while reducing power consumption by 42 per cent.

The phone also features a 6.67-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution at 120Hz. The smartphone is complemented by a 20 MP front camera and a rear camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The 6550 mAh battery supports 90W fast charging, which can charge the phone to 100 per cent in just 45 minutes. The Turbo 4 also has three IP certifications: IP66, IP68 and IP69, and supports the new Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity standards.

In the global market, this smartphone will be released under the name POCO X7 Pro.
