Samsung seems to be preparing to launch a new Galaxy A series smartphone - the Galaxy A06 5G. This device with the model number SM-A066B has recently appeared in the Geekbench database and revealed some key specifications and first test results.

Here's What We Know

The Galaxy A06 5G may be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which delivers balanced performance for budget smartphones. In Geekbench tests, the device scored 731 points in single-core mode and 1,816 points in multi-core mode. These figures indicate sufficient power for everyday tasks, including watching videos, using social media and playing medium-complexity games.

The smartphone has 4 GB of RAM, which ensures stable operation of applications. The Galaxy A06 5G is likely to run on Android 15, complemented by One UI 7, which offers a modern interface and features for the user experience.

Last week, a device with the same model number appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance listings. This confirmed its support for Wi-Fi 6, which is another important update for the budget segment.

It is expected that the Galaxy A06 5G may have similar specifications to the 4G version, in particular:

  • Display: 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate.
  • Camera: 50MP primary camera that delivers quality images in its price segment.
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh with 25W fast charging support.

The official announcement of Galaxy A06 5G will take place in the coming months. The smartphone may go on sale by the second half of 2025. The price has not yet been announced, but given the previous models, we can assume that it will remain within the budget segment.
