The successor to the triple Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design may already be in development
Huawei, known for its smartphone innovations, is preparing to release the successor to the world's first triple-play phone, the Mate XT Ultimate Design.
Here's What We Know
According to rumours, the new smartphone could be called the Huawei Mate XT and will feature the latest Kirin 9020 chipset. This chipset is also used in other Huawei devices such as the Huawei X6 foldable phone and the Mate 70 series. The new Mate XT is expected to retain most of its predecessor's key features, including the ability to be used in three different modes: as a regular smartphone, as a large-screen device when partially opened, and as a full tablet when fully opened.
Huawei aims to combine phone and tablet functions into one device that fits comfortably in a pocket. Other companies such as Tecno, Honor and Xiaomi are also rumoured to be working on their own triple phones, which promises further development of this technology and lower prices for such devices in the future.
