It seems that idSoftware is planning to port the classic Doom 64 to modern platforms: recently, the ESRB has rated the game's remaster for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles, giving the game a Mature 17+ rating due to the large amount of blood and gory scenes.

Here's What We Know

DOOM 64 is already available on Xbox One, PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and is backwards compatible with the new consoles. Although details about the release date of the port remain unknown, it may include improvements such as higher resolution and additional options.

DOOM 64, released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, received a remaster with achievements, a new save system, and The Lost Levels, a set of seven additional levels that link its story to DOOM and DOOM Eternal.
