Bug fixes, scrolling and Game Booster settings improvements in One UI 7.0 beta update for Galaxy S24 series

Samsung has released a new beta version of One UI 7.0 update for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones based on Android 15. The beta testing programme was launched on 5 December 2024 in the US, UK, Korea and Germany, and later expanded to India and Poland.

Here's What We Know

This is the second beta update for India and Poland, and the third for other countries. The third beta update was rolled out in Germany, but it is also available in the UK, India, and Poland. The US and Korea are expected to receive the update soon.

The update is about 1.2GB in size and is marked ZXLJ. It fixes several bugs and improves some features, including the Now Bar notification panel and vertical scrolling in the app menu.

Here's the full list of changes in the third One UI 7.0 beta update:

  • Vertical scrolling in the app has been improved.
  • Default screen playback settings in Game Booster have been changed.
  • Game Booster changed the name of the FPS setting and the maximum value.
    Game Booster's default scan setting is now 120 Hz.
  • Fixed an exception in Samsung Messages when saving MMS images.
  • Improved closing of the Quick Launcher.
  • Fixed a bug with the Now Bar display in certain cases.
  • Fixed an issue with the alignment of the battery and notification icons on the lock screen, AOD, and status bar.
  • Fixed lock screen editing errors and disappearing shortcuts.
  • Fixed a bug with the volume button when using Routine+.
  • Fixed the display of tools in the Edge panel.

This update is likely not the last beta before the stable release. The stable version of One UI 7.0 for all Galaxy S24 users is expected to be released in February 2025.
