Ilon Musk back in 2020 talked about the idea of building a special tunnel from the Giga Texas factory through which new Tesla cars would exit. The Boring Company has been working on this project throughout 2024 and recently the exit from the so-called CyberTunnel has begun to take final shape.

Here's What We Know

The final part of the design looks particularly interesting in the shape of a Tesla Cybertruck, complete with a sloping bonnet and even a strip of lighting that mimics the daytime running lights of an electric pickup truck.

The tunnel was bored under State Highway 130 using a Prufrock-3 tunnel boring machine. Inside, it consists of minimalist concrete sections and is designed to allow only one vehicle per row to pass through. The @Cybertruck account on social media X called the underground structure a "generic tunnel, so it's no surprise that cars only move in one direction.

After reaching the end of the tunnel, Tesla cars will go for their first post-production test drive.
