Meta Quest Pro, a headset from Meta that was released in 2022, is no longer available for purchase. The company announced the decision to stop sales as soon as stocks ran out in September 2023. The official website now redirects users to Quest 3, promoting it as "the ultimate mixed reality experience and premium comfort".

Here's What We Know

Released in October 2022 for $1,499.99, Meta Quest Pro quickly became a controversial product. The headset's high starting price drew widespread criticism, with many questioning whether the advanced features justified such an expensive price tag for consumers.

While the Quest Pro boasted advanced mixed reality capabilities, including colour reproduction and eye tracking technology, it lacked strong, compelling software support at launch.

The device's rapid decline is not surprising, especially given the ever-shrinking virtual reality market.
