It's now official: the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the new Galaxy S25 flagships will be unveiled, will take place on 22 January 2025
Just as previously reported in insider leaks, Samsung has officially announced that the next Unpacked event will be held on 22 January 2025. At this event, the company will unveil four new smartphones: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and the all-new Galaxy S25 Slim.
Here's What We Know
The event will start at 6:00 p.m. UTC, which corresponds to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) and 7:00 p.m. Central European Time (CET). In its invitation, the company will emphasise the improved Galaxy AI, which will be more natural and intuitive.
Well, the main highlight of the event will be the Galaxy S25 series smartphones. According to the latest information, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will be similar, but the Plus version will get a bigger screen and battery. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a more oval shape and will retain S Pen support. The new, fourth model, the Galaxy S25 Slim, will feature a 6.66-inch screen, a 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50 MP telephoto lens. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and will have a 5,000 mAh battery. However, as the name suggests, it will be a thinner and lighter phone, probably without some additional features like wireless charging and a periscopic telephoto camera lens.
The event will be held in San Jose, USA and will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung's YouTube channel.
