Mitsubishi has announced a new concept based on the production Outlander PHEV crossover. It is called Night Seeker and is dedicated to the popular game Metal Gear Solid. "Live" presentation of the car will take place at the exhibition "Tokyo Auto Salon 2025", which will be held from 10 to 12 January at the Makuhari Messe Convention Centre in Chiba, Japan. In the meantime, you can take a look at digital images of the new product in the gallery below.

Here's What We Know

The Night Seeker concept is based on the recently updated Outlander PHEV. It has custom dodger, original wheels and a bunch of accessories that give the appearance of special forces equipment. The front end is covered by a transparent visor that apparently protects the grilles and headlights. These are joined by a metal protective plate and an additional LED panel at the front of the roof rack. The car's profile features unusual wheel arch covers and a dark livery with Metal Gear Solid graphics.

Mitsubishi has not mentioned any changes to the chassis or powertrain. The Outlander's updated plug-in hybrid powertrain produces a total of 306 hp (225 kW), while an enlarged 22.7 kWh battery pack provides a total range of 844 kilometres (524 miles).
