North Korean Koksan artillery systems spotted on the frontline
Long-range self-propelled artillery systems M1989 Koksan made in North Korea have appeared at the front, probably transferred to Russia for combat operations.
Here's What We Know
A video of a camouflaged firing position where the self-propelled artillery system is located was published by the Exilenova+ telegram channel. The recording shows the body of an artillery unit marked with oversized cargo used to transport equipment by rail. The occupier, who filmed the video, calls this unit a "gift" from North Korea. The video does not show any shells near the self-propelled artillery system.

It is currently unknown exactly where and when this video was shot, as well as who is using these systems - the Russians or the North Korean military, which, according to speculation, dictator Kim Jong-un could have sent to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine.
Earlier, in December 2024, eyewitnesses recorded the transport of a train with such artillery systems by rail in Russia. The footage showed more than ten Koksan self-propelled artillery systems. Earlier, in November of the same year, a similar train was spotted in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk.
