Apple releases second beta of macOS Sequoia 15.3 update for developers
On January 7, 2025, Apple introduced the second beta version of the macOS Sequoia 15.3 update, which became available three weeks after the first beta version was released.
Here's What We Know
Developers enrolled in the Developer Program can join the test through the Software Update section in System Preferences. To receive the beta version, you need an Apple ID associated with your developer account.
The main new feature in macOS Sequoia 15.3 is Genmoji, the ability to create custom characters using text queries. This feature, which was previously available only on iPhone and iPad, is now available for Mac users. Created Genmoji work just like regular emoji on devices running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 and later. On older versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Android, these characters are sent as images.
Genmoji can be added through the emoji interface, and the generation of images takes place directly on the device. It is important to note that all Macs with the Apple Silicon chip support Genmoji and other Apple Intelligence features.
Satechi recently introduced a new docking station for Mac mini with support for M.2 SSD expansion and access to the power button. This accessory is designed to not only improve the usability of the device, but also add USB Type-A ports and M.2 SSD expansion, which significantly expands the capabilities of the computer.
