All the leaks about the Nintendo Switch 2 pale in comparison to what happened at CES 2025.

While the Japanese company has maintained an emphasised silence about its new console, its partner Genki unveiled a perfectly crafted Switch 2 mock-up at the show.

Here's What We Know

Clips from the CES 2025 exhibition are spreading on the web, where bloggers and journalists show the Switch 2 mockup in every detail and directly compare the new console with the previous model.

Representatives from Genki, a major accessories company including Nintendo, said they had a working Nintendo Switch 2 console at their disposal, so it wasn't difficult to create a 3D mock-up.

The accessory manufacturer sees no point in remaining silent or pretending that they aren't working on merchandise for Switch 2. Nintendo has its own plans - Genki has its own. Of course, from the point of view of business co-operation, such a move looks strange and ill-considered, but it's possible that this is a co-ordinated PR action.

Additionally, Genki has said that the Nintendo Switch 2 will debut in April, but isn't ready to give an exact date just yet.

The very thin white console shown is indeed slightly larger than the first Switch, but otherwise visually they look almost identical, but the Joy-Cons controllers are magnetically attached, as insiders have reported.

Genki has already started advertising its own accessories for the yet-to-be-announced Nintendo Switch 2, which adds to the absurdity of the situation.

It seems Nintendo may not be holding a Switch 2 launch event anymore!
