Bad weather and fire in Santa Clara hinder production of Fallout 2: filming postponed
The filming of the second season of the popular post-apocalyptic series Fallout for Prime Video has been postponed due to a powerful wind storm and related wildfires in Southern California. After a holiday break, production was scheduled to resume on 8 January, but has now been postponed to Friday, 10 January, as a precautionary measure.
Here's What We Know
The series, which is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films, is filmed in Santa Clara, where strong winds contributed to a small fire north of the city. Santa Clara is known as one of the windiest areas in Los Angeles.
The Fallout TV series, based on the cult post-apocalyptic video game franchise, takes viewers to a grim world devastated by nuclear war, where survivors must survive in the harsh conditions of a retro-futuristic wasteland.
The series is set in an alternate history of 2296, when various characters emerge from underground shelters into a world filled with mutated creatures, hostile groups and remnants of pre-war society. Over 100 million viewers watched the Fallout series in six months the series.
Now we hope that the fires will end as soon as possible and the filming process will resume.
