Samsung's Galaxy S24 flagships have started receiving January's security update
Samsung is releasing the first January 2025 security update of the year and the flagship Galaxy S24 series is getting it, but still with the One UI 6.1.1/Android 14 firmware.
Here's What We Know
The update has arrived on Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy S24+ and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra devices in Korea and on some carrier-locked models in the US. The update will start rolling out to these smartphones in other countries and regions in the coming days.
The January security patch fixes 29 Android vulnerabilities and 22 vulnerabilities in Samsung's One UI system. This patch can be identified by the firmware number that ends with AXL1 or AXL2.
As you know, the Galaxy S24 smartphones are now testing a third beta version of the new One UI 7.0 and it is quite possible that the next security patch for S24 devices will be released with a stable version of the latest interface.
