Delta has announced important updates for its passengers that will make travelling even more comfortable and interesting. As part of its partnership with YouTube, the airline will provide SkyMiles members with free access to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium.

Here's What We Know

Passengers will be able to enjoy ad-free videos, podcasts, and music during flights.

In addition, Delta will upgrade its in-flight entertainment system, replacing old screens with new 4K HDR QLED displays with Bluetooth connectivity. The new system will be equipped with 96 TB of storage for storing a huge amount of content, including movies, TV shows, and music.

These innovations will also include several interactive features. Passengers will be able to activate the Do Not Disturb mode to inform the flight attendant that they do not want to be disturbed. Passengers will be able to use the planner to select food and beverages, as well as the Arrival Mode feature, which will provide travel information, translations and content for their final destination.

The changes Delta plans to introduce by 2026 are not unique in the market. For example, United already offers 4K screens and Bluetooth connectivity. However, Delta promises to use the industry's first cloud-based infrastructure for in-flight entertainment, which is something no competitor has.

Thus, with the new features and the partnership with YouTube, Delta is taking a significant step towards improving the experience of its passengers, bringing itself closer to the leaders in the field of aviation entertainment.
