Nintendo has already decided on the announcement of the next console and does not plan to change anything despite numerous leaks, according to the company's former PR manager
We are all eagerly awaiting the announcement of the new Nintendo console, but the company seems to be in no hurry with the announcement. A former Nintendo PR manager shared her thoughts on the matter.
Here's What We Know
Former Nintendo PR manager Christy Young shared her thoughts on why the company is in no hurry with the announcement.
Young, who worked at Nintendo from 2007 to 2022 and took part in the launch of several consoles, believes that the company has already set the date for the Switch 2 presentation and does not plan to change it, despite numerous leaks.
"Despite all these leaks, Nintendo will stick to their plan," she said. "They have a date in mind, and they're not going to deviate from it."
Although the exact date of the announcement remains unknown, some rumours claim that the announcement could take place before the end of January. Nintendo has only confirmed that the announcement will take place before the end of the fiscal year ending 31 March 2025.
As a reminder, Nintendo's partner presented a detailed layout of the new console and started advertising accessories for it. The Switch 2 Joy-Cons will have an optical sensor that will allow them to perform mouse functions, according to the accessory manufacturer Genki.
