Pharaohs require optimisation: Builders of Egypt strategy was released on Steam, but gamers are dissatisfied with its technical condition
Builders of Egypt city-building strategy game from Polish studio Strategy Labs has been released.
Here's What We Know
The game is already available in Steam and offers you to become the ruler of a settlement in Ancient Egypt, which with successful development can grow into a huge prosperous metropolis.
Conceptually the game is similar to Manor Lords, but the setting of Ancient Egypt significantly distinguishes it from its competitors, as such themes are not often used in games. In Builders of Egypt there are many complex and complicated mechanics related to economy building, diplomacy, resource extraction, trade, army formation and interaction with neighbours, including armed conflicts.
Unfortunately, Builders of Egypt is receiving mixed reviews so far. In general, gamers like the novelty, but many note not the best technical condition and its frankly poor optimisation. Even a relatively modern and powerful graphics card RTX 3060 does not provide a comfortable frame rate, although the recommended system requirements specify RTX 2060.

Surely the developers will promptly release patches and improve the Builders of Egypt optimisation, but so far it's not very comfortable to play it.
As a reminder, the game offers:
- 39 missions;
- 11 monuments;
- more than 100 buildings;
- 29 types of goods;
- unpredictable natural disasters.
Builders of Egypt is available only on PC (Steam) for now.
