Garmin has released beta update version 20.10 for Fenix 7 smartwatches and related models. The supported devices include Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar, Epix, Epix Pro, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and Marq Gen 2.

Here's What We Know

This is the first update in the 20.xx test cycle, replacing the stable version 19.41 released in December.

The main innovation is the introduction of Connect IQ System 8 support, which opens up access to new apps, watch faces, and widgets. Another innovation is the display of information about the type of connection when connecting sensors, which makes setting up devices more convenient.

One of the main improvements concerns the smart notification widget: users can now scroll through longer messages, which is especially convenient for viewing detailed information.

Several new features have been added for athletes. For example, the swim rest screen has been improved to help you better track intervals between swims. The track database for runners has also been updated.

In addition, beta version 20.10 fixes several known bugs. In particular, it fixes issues with altitude audible alarms, improves the display of images on Outdoor Map Plus, and improves the Coach widget.

Fenix 7 users can install the update via the Check for updates menu in the watch settings. However, it is worth remembering that this is a test version, so minor glitches are possible.

Garmin continues to work on improving its products based on user feedback.
