On the verge of collapse: Ubisoft is looking for ways to save itself from bankruptcy and has hired business advisers

The series of difficult decisions of the French publisher Ubisoft continues. On the verge of bankruptcy, the company's management is taking drastic measures in an attempt to avoid the worst scenario.

We have already reported that Ubisoft It's happened again! Ubisoft has pushed back the release of Assassinʼs Creed: Shadows to March 2025 for the second time, and soon after that another important detail became known.

Here's What We Know

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot held a conference call with investors where they discussed possible ways out of the situation. The company issued a press release stating that it has hired highly qualified consultants who will review all elements of Ubisoft's business in detail and propose options for overcoming it. Ubisoft's wording does not suggest that the company is ruling out the possibility of merging with other market players, but it will try to maintain its independence by reorganising. At the same time, the company refused to comment directly on the possibility of selling its assets to Tencent.

Yves Guimault remains optimistic and sees "several potential ways" for Ubisoft to get out of its predicament that will help maximise shareholder value.
