British studio Rebellion released a detailed video that reveals the main features of the post-apocalyptic shooter Atomfall.

Here's What We Know

The developers showed seven minutes of gameplay and reminded that Atomfall combines elements of shooter, RPG and survival simulator.

Players will find themselves in the UK, which survived the nuclear disaster. Many compare the project with Fallout, but unlike the American Wasteland in the world of Atomfall there was no nuclear war, and the accident at the Windscale nuclear power plant is to blame. It should be noted that the developers from Rebellion do not copy Fallout, but offer their own view on the similar setting.

In terms of gameplay the game reminds modern parts of Fallout, but the comparison with S.T.A.L.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The similarity with the Ukrainian game is noticeable not only in the setting and visual style, but also in the basic gameplay mechanics, story and open world structure.

The main goal of the players will be to find out the reasons of the nuclear disaster and to confront the members of the neo-pagan cult, who do not want to restore the civilised world. In Atomfall, ammo, medicine and other resources will always be in short supply, so players need to plan their actions wisely and try not to participate in open clashes.

To summarise, Atomfall looks like a game that has all chances to succeed, especially glad that the authors of numerous parts of Sniper Elite were not afraid to try themselves in a new genre and seem to have done a good job.

When We Can Expect It

Atomfall is expected to be released in March 2025. The game will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and will be available on Game Pass from day one,
