For Marvel Rivals, many mods with skins of other characters who are not even in the Marvel universe, like Batman, have been made. However, now the authors have blocked the possibility of installing mods, but artist Del Walker, who has worked for NaughtyDog, Respawn, Rocksteady and SEGA, decided to explain the reasons for this decision from his experience.

Here's What We Know

Del wrote 7 reasons in his post on Twitter:

  1. Some skins make it easier for other players to spot you (or vice versa)
  2. Mods that are not optimised can sometimes do some strange things that can put a strain on the server
  3. Some mods can damage the reputation or image of the developers
  4. If you ban only a part of the mods, it can cause a wave of hate
  5. Mods can harm the brand vision
  6. No one has cancelled legal conflicts if the copyright holders of a character don't like the fact that they are in another game
  7. The most important reason is that skin sales drop if you have free mods as an option

So now you'll just have to accept the fact that you simply won't be able to play as a character that is not officially available in Marvel Rivals.
