In the autumn of 2024, Don't Nod was preparing to lay off people and froze two unannounced projects. Later, the developers protested and staged a strike in Paris, demanding that the management stop the layoffs and take people's opinions into account. But, as it turned out, this did not affect anything.

Here's What We Know

The STJV union reported that negotiations with Don't Nod's management on the redundancy plan did not result in any serious commitments for employees.

It was not possible to discuss such important issues as the terms of dismissal (severance pay, bonuses for voluntary resignation, etc.).

According to STJV, the management has only one goal: to buy time, and is unwilling to engage in serious negotiations.

Therefore, the union is now calling for a strike starting on 13 January 2025 and until their demands are met.

The decision to strike was made at the general meeting of Don't Nod employees and received massive support (about 90% of the votes in favour).

However, it is not yet known whether this will have any impact on the development and release of Lost Records: Bloom Rage, which is due out on 18 February.
