Nintendo Switch 2 could be unveiled as early as this week: an insider has revealed the (yet another) exact date for the new console's launch event
The rumour of Nintendo Switch 2 presentation on January 8 has not been confirmed, so insiders have started looking for information about new dates for the long-awaited announcement of the anticipated gaming console.
The fresh information was shared by a well-known insider NateTheHate, who previously claimed that the device will be presented in January.
Here's What We Know
On his podcast, NateTheHate said that he was "told" about the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement on 16 January, where the public will be shown the console exclusively, and games for it will be revealed at a separate event, probably in February or March.
NateTheHate's information is partially confirmed by VGC reporters, who have also heard that the Switch 2 will be available in May or June this year. They also agree with the two-stage announcement (first the console, then the games) of the gadget.
Recall, earlier in the network appeared a huge amount of information about Switch 2, and at the CES 2025 exhibition partner Nintendo even presented a detailed mock-up of the new console and began advertising accessories for it.
