Game of the Day: Airborne Empire - develop a flying city in the open world and fight off air pirates

On 13 January 2025, Airborne Empire was released on Steam, an open-world urban simulation and role-playing game that challenges players to create and manage their own flying city.

Here's What We Know

Airborne Empire invites players to build, manage and develop a unique city in the sky, while exploring a rich open world full of new dangers, exotic wonders and hidden treasures. Players will have to manage the lift, balance and movement required to keep the flying city running. In addition, air pirates may appear on the way, threatening the peace of the city, so protecting the inhabitants and kingdoms below from their attacks will be an important task.

The game combines elements of the city-building genre with an open world, exploration, RPG progression and defence strategy. Players start with a small settlement floating in the sky, avoiding attacks from air pirates and exploring new territories to collect resources needed for the city's growth.
